DREAI brings $5.5M to support BC communities impacted by wildfires and floods.

The mission of the Disaster Recovery and Economic Adjustment Initiative (DREAI) is to:

Help businesses and enterprising not-for-profits (organizations) that have been impacted by recent disasters and the continued transformation of the economic landscape in British Columbia.

Are you in one of the 17 Eligible Community Futures Regions within BC?

The Initiative provides the following Business supports free of charge. 

  • 10 hours working with a Consultant to grow your skills and your business.
  • 6 months of advice and problem solving conversations with like minded business owners. 
  • Up to $5,000 reimbursement for training that you arrange to grow or pivot your business. 
  • Unlimited access to valuable, professional workshops to help you and your team build and grow skills to success.

If your business is operating in an eligible region, login as a member and complete the Eligible Organization Application, once approved, your business will eligible for funding under the DREAI Sponsored Program.

Community Futures created this website to provide resources, support, and direction to businesses who may be impacted by wildfires, floods, landslides or any other natural disaster; this information is updated regularly.  There is currently no funding secured for financial support of affected businesses however, there are resources available to assist with disaster mitigation and recovery.

Export Navigator Can Help Your Business GROW

The Export Navigator Program offers free expert guidance to businesses on exporting.  Whether your business already exports at volume or you run a smaller enterprise that hasn't yet crossed borders, you will be put in touch with a helpful advisor who will demystify the export process.  Although the current climate has disrupted the flow of goods and services, we can help you diversify your market and strengthen your business.

The program is available to all B.C. businesses located outside of Greater Vancouver and Greater Victoria and offers specialized advisors for businesses owned by Indigenous Peoples, youth (under 30 years of age), and women.
